Two cuties to go into the weekend.
The Bluebirds are visiting every day but she has still not started to build yet. I recognize her by her furrowed brow. Her man is around a lot more but I hope when we go into April she will finally get to work on her nest. The Titmice were plenty and vocal today, and this one just cracked me up. Here’s to a great weekend!

There was also
a Titmouse bonanza! I love seeing them up close because they are such pretty birds with so many adorable details.

I am so happy
to see that the Titmice have found their way back here. They are not just totally adorable but also a lot of fun to watch and listen to. In the spring, you can hear their surprisingly loud PETERPETERPETER sounding through the air. Right now, they sound a lot like Chickadees, making grumpy little noises when they are not happy with the spread or notice competition.

As someone from the middle of Germany,
I have always loved having four seasons, and Michigan is a great place to be with that. I can see beauty in all four of them, and it is lovely to have them all here. Snow days are fun because there is a bit more activity at feeders, and I love the pale background for photos too. The birds are all slightly more agitated as well, which can produce some fun shots. Here are some from today. It is wonderful to see more of the Titmouse again. The Goldfinches are still quite vibrant, and having the King of the Yard over is always a treat.

Since I've been so busy with work,
it sometimes takes me a bit to go back out and refill the feeders. And that is when I get lots of photos like these that show nice different angles like the side or back. It is great to see Whitebreasted Nuthatches and Titmice again on a regular basis after they’ve been more feeder shy in the summer. (Titmouse, Nuthatch, Bluebird, Starling)

It is very interesting
how different things are this November, compared to all the other years I have been here. Temperatures are more than mild, which I think is responsible for the relative quiet in the yard right now. Nature provides an abundance of food, there are still insects around too, so the birds seek feeders less. The Grackle and Redwinged Blackbird are still around too, and today I saw in a local birding group that someone had a Hummingbird on their feeder in Michigan. I am enjoying this mild weather but I really hope we will get some cold too. Anyways, here are some of the current residents, most of which are very busy taking nuts and seeds and hiding them for snowy days.
(Redbreasted Nuthatch, American Goldfinch, Blackcapped Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse and House Finch)

And!
The Titmice are back. Chickadees too, with their babies, but they just love the caged mealworm feeder and never bother to go to a camera. Have a great Thursday!

There seems to be no bird in my yard
with more “facial expressions” than the Tufted Titmouse. I also think puppy eyes should be renamed to Titter eyes 😆 Cause who could say No to that?

The Tufted Titmouse
is one of the cutest visitors I have around here, and I am so happy that they made a comeback after having been gone for two years from my yard. Titmice often flock with Chickadees and have an impressive call that can be quite melodious and goes PETERPETERPETER! And that is the November bird in my calendar.
You can get an Ostdrossel calendar at ostdrossel.com or here.
Also keep an eye on my Insta and FB tomorrow, there will be a little Christmas surprise.

A Titter
to greet the week. I am having a busy couple of days this week so I won’t be posting a lot. As you might have noticed, the livestream is on a little break. Things will be back to normal in about ten days, and I appreciate your patience. Come good into Tuesday!

The Tufties
made themselves a little rare recently but were all around the feeders today.

Amongst the several Titmice
that are here right now, there is one that is more distinguishable than the others, it looks like it has eyeliner on. It is the one in the middle. They are all very good at guilt-tripping! Don’t let that get to you though, I hope you all have a fantastic start into the week.

A proud Titter
with a big price. I have enjoyed these warm November days. We did some yard maintenance today because the temps are about to drop, including mowing some of the leaves. Did you know not raking all leaves will help increase the population of insects like glow bugs in the following season?

I love these guys.
Today, Titmice and Chickadees had the majority of photos on my cameras. It was a lot of fun hearing them squeal and squeak with excitement when they discovered a feeder. And they sound so similar too! I am ready to get showered in Titter and Chickie goodness all fall and winter.

I have been Titmouse-deprived for so long that I need to indulge a bit. They remind me a bit of dolphins too.

So curious!
The titmice keep coming, yesterday I saw three! And I am crossing my fingers that they like my yard and will keep me company throughout the winter.
